Fun times at the zoo

Yesterday we decided it would be a nice day to take off and go to the zoo. Dad had been wanting to see the new Koala exhibit. Unfortunately, when we got to them, they were both sleeping. Hopefully we will be able to go back before they are gone for the summer. You would never know that LeeAnn is at the zoo at least once a month. She really enjoys it every time we go. She loves animals! The most fun for both of us were the Walrus'. They are so cute the way they come up to the windows and blow kisses. We went back to see them at the end of the day also, and they were being fed. LeeAnn wanted to bring the smallest one home and put it in our pool. She really wants a pet. :)
We took in the dolphin show and found it to be different this time than the last time we were there. We all really enjoyed it. I took video of it and I am going to try and include it with the pictures....this camera is different and wouldn't load it last time.

We also got to see the Lions, zebras, elephants, tigers, and the rhinos. LeeAnn also got to feed the giraffe thanks to Grandma and her rummage money. :) They have gotten cheap though. She got one little piece of carrot for a dollar. When I asked mom if it was worth it she of course said yes. Then, we let her ride the horse and the carousel as usual. It was a great day but we were all exhausted. The only thing missing was the Big Brown Kodiak bears. They were both brothers and they both died recently. It was really sad to see the exhibit empty. I am sure they will get a new bear eventually though. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us. We had a great day!

I didn't know both of the bears died! How sad! I love the walrus too. I was looking at your blog with Gracie on my lap & she got really excited when she saw the pictures & started pointing at you all & smiling. Too cute! I hope I get to see some pictures from yesterday!

Sounds like you guys have so much fun at the zoo. I hope dad gets another chance to see the Koala's! You just get the best pics of the Walrus!
